Support — Essential Korea Travel Hacks

Tell me which language you are using the app in and what you were doing, and I will answer. If something in a guide is wrong or out of date — an opening time, a closing day, a shop that has moved — that is the most useful message you can send, and it gets fixed in the next update.

I paid and the guides are still locked

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. It can take up to a dozen seconds; the button shows a spinner while it asks the store.

Restore works on any device signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with, so a new phone is fine. If it says nothing was found, check you are signed in with that account.

The Get PRO Pass button has no price

That means the app could not reach the store. Check the connection and reopen the paywall — it asks again each time it opens, and again whenever the app comes back to the foreground.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every guide, phrase card and map query is inside the app. The only things that need a connection are the buttons that open something else: Naver Map, Instagram, TikTok, the app stores, and the official tourism sites.

A map button opens a Korean web page

That happens when Naver Map is not installed. The app offers you the choice: install Naver Map, which has English menus and turn-by-turn directions, or open the web map, which is Korean only.

Is my data collected?

No. See the privacy policy — ten things are stored on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, so refunds go through them, not through me. On iOS use reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android use the Play Store's order history.
