Privacy Policy — Essential Korea Travel Hacks
Last updated: 25 October 2026
The short version
This app collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no server belonging to us. Every guide is stored inside the app, so it works with the phone in airplane mode.
What is stored, and where
Eight things are saved on your device and nowhere else. They are never sent anywhere, and they are deleted when you delete the app.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| The language you picked | So the app opens in it next time |
| Your chosen text size | So guides stay readable next time |
| Whether you last looked at Seoul or Busan | So the app opens on the same city next time |
| Which items you ticked on the app checklist | So the ticks are still there when you come back |
| Which guides you saved | So the Saved tab can show them later |
| Which must-buy items and places to stay you saved | So your saved lists are still there next time |
| Your recent searches | So you can run a search again with one tap; you can clear them in the search screen |
| Whether the PRO Pass is unlocked | So the paid guides work offline and after a reinstall |
That is the complete list. We do not store your name, your email, your location, your device identifiers or your contacts. The only thing you type that is kept is your recent searches, and they never leave the device.
What leaves your device
Nothing, unless you tap something that is clearly a link.
The app has buttons that hand a place name or an address to another app or website — Naver Map, Instagram, TikTok, OpenStreetMap's copyright page, the App Store or Google Play, and the official Seoul and Busan tourism sites. When you tap one, your phone opens that app or site in the normal way, and from that point their privacy policy applies, not ours. We do not see that you tapped it.
Send feedback works the same way. It opens your own mail app with a draft already written, carrying the app version and which language you are reading in, so a report can be placed. Nothing is sent until you send it, and the app never reads what you type — you are writing in your mail app, not in ours. There is no form and no server behind it.
Purchases
The PRO Pass is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. Your payment details go to them and never to us. We receive no personal information from the transaction — the app only learns that the purchase succeeded, and writes that one yes-or-no answer to your device.
Restore Purchases asks the store, not us, whether you have bought it before.
Children
The app is a travel guide with no social features, no user content, no messaging and no advertising, so there is nothing for a child to be exposed to and nothing for us to collect from one.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect it to.
